Lane Certifiers and Training

TBNZ is attempting to increase the number of qualified lane inspectors that we have in New Zealand. TBNZ currently have 4 active inspectors travelling throughout the country and is looking to increase that number to around 12. TBNZ would like these 12 inspectors spread evenly throughout the country to enable us to have locally based inspectors undertaking most of the annual certification process rather than having to fly inspectors around the country.

Should TBNZ achieve its goal of having approximately 12 inspectors then most inspectors would only need to be available to inspect 2 or 3 centres per annum. A normal inspection takes approximately half a day plus any rechecking that might be required after adjustments have been made. Therefore the total commitment per inspector would be approximately 2 or 3 weekends per annum.
